But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. – Romans 5:8
Martin Luther was quoted as saying that this epistle to the Romans is “the true masterpiece of the New Testament and the very purest GOSPEL”
Dr. J. Vernon McGee once called Romans “[God’s] great gospel manifesto for the WORLD.”
Romans is a soaring message of love and grace. It is a celebration that sin is conquered through the cross of Christ. It is the assurance that you and I can truly have peace with God.
OPPORTUNITY – SUNDAY SCHOOL STARTS THIS WEEK: Do you need love, grace, and a conquering of sin? Please, come and join for Romans – A New Testament Study, a wonderful in-depth study/discussion of the Apostle Paul’s warm, personal epistle to his friends who made up the CHURCH in Rome.
In this first year of our study, we will work through Paul’s arguments leading up the pinnacle of Romans, v. 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Next year, we will complete our study.
If you are interested in learning more about the message(s) Paul has for his many friends in Rome (a place, by the way, he had never, at this point, been to, but truly long to personally visit), you might do well to consider joining us for this journey. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 9:50 a.m.
In Christ’s Love,
